how about using https://nuget.org/packages/AsyncBridge.Net35 or https://nuget.org/packages/TaskParallelLibrary

and compile to. NET 3.5? Is it possible?

That's an interesting idea. I probably have a handful of dependencies on .NET 4.0, but nothing too extreme.

I'll consider adding .NET 3.5 support if enough people ask for it. It is two releases old, though; there is very little reason to develop on .NET 3.5 these days.

I tried to make this manually..  I could not compile all because of some methods (like unwarp, another 1 or more)..

I had to implement a Tuple.. But the strange thing is that most unit tests failed. I have not had time to analyze,  but the task operation is different in 3.5?

There are some legacy projects (maintenance). still using. 3.5 net..

Tasks didn't exist in 3.5, so the unit test failures are probably due to semantic differences between .NET 4.5 and AsyncBridge.Net35/TaskParallelLibrary.
